From craft workshops to corporate retreats to weddings, our beautiful campus offers groups of nearly any size modern accommodations, professionally catered dining by HT Catering, and all the latest technology you need for your event to go off without a hitch.

With over 100 years of hosting events and gatherings under our belts, we have refined our campus to offer the best possible experience for almost any event of almost any size up to 350 people with the ability to sleep up to 246 people. We have hosted week-long conferences, weekend retreats, crafting workshops and weddings and we take pride in working with you to create the perfect experience for your group.

Only two hours from both Edmonton and Calgary, Gull Lake Centre isn’t too far from anywhere! Whether your group is traveling from the corporate headquarters in Calgary or gathering from all parts of the province, our central location makes us easy to get to for almost anyone, and being only a short drive from the major cities and just off of the QEII means you don’t lose an entire day of your event to travel.

Accommodations for any group

Our recently upgraded sleeping accommodations can host groups from 15 to 246 people and we offer a variety of sleeping arrangements on our campus-style property.

Our Retreat Centre is set up like a dormitory and each room has two beds with a meeting room on each floor. We also offer Pod Cabins that accommodate 11 guests each and have private bathrooms and our newest cabins sleep 8 guests and also include private bathrooms.

Amenities you need

Whether you are hosting a corporate retreat, a workshop, a conference, or a wedding, we are happy to provide a range of amenities that are included in your rental.

High-speed wi-fi is available across our entire campus and every rental includes access to our A/V equipment. Tables and chairs can be provided for up to 350 guests and you will have a 24-hour on-site host during your stay. We are also pleased to provide your group with all-day coffee and tea service.

Dining that delights

Sitting down to enjoy a delicious meal together can be one of the most impactful ways to develop meaningful relationships at your retreat or group event. This is why we have partnered with HT Catering to nourish your group with mouthwatering meals that will keep everyone energized and excited.

We can accommodate a variety of dietary needs to tailor the perfect meal plan for your group and meals are included in your rental rates meaning you have one less thing to worry about when planning your event.

Activities that inspire

We offer a wide range of self-directed activities including our games room (billiards, ping pong, etc), skating rink, and bouldering wall to name only a few. You will also have access to our gymnasium and outdoor fire pits. Guests are also free to explore the breathtaking woodlands surrounding our facility and spend time on the sandy beaches of Gull Lake which are mere steps from our main campus.

Guided Programming

We also offer guided activities including archery, climbing wall, and canoeing. Program activities are led by Gull Lake Centre Staff in May, June & September. Please contact us to get more information on available programming options.

Minimum Group Size: 15 Guests
Adult Weekend: Starting at $195/person – includes meals (Friday 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 2:00 p.m.)
Youth Weekend: Starting at $155/person – includes meals (Friday 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 2:00 p.m.)
Day-use: $43.50/person – includes one meal
Summer Rentals: Available Friday 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 10:00 a.m.

Gull Lake Centre was founded in 1920 as a Christian camp. We exist to practice and promote the Christian faith. We welcome you with warm hospitality. We ask that each guest group’s purpose for gathering, and conduct while on site, is not in opposition to our values or purpose. If you are concerned about this request or are unsure if your group can meet this requirement, please contact our Executive Director and he will be happy to answer any questions.

Frequently asked questions

  • Marijuana and illegal drugs are not permitted on Gull Lake Centre property.

  • As a courtesy to those with allergies, we ask that you leave your pets at home. However, certified assistance dogs are welcome.

  • Yes, please bring your own bedding and towels as we do not supply them.

  • We provide full meal services for all groups. You are welcome to bring along munchies though.

  • We have pretty much all the basic A/V equipment you will need. There is no extra cost as its use is included in your rental.

  • Smoking is permitted outside in designated smoking areas only.
